THE INNER VOICE

Look down at the earth,
Deep in every heart,
In to the ocean,
At this living commotion.

What do thou see?
What do thou feel?
What do thou conceive?
What do thou believe?

It shall soon die,
No longer can it live.
Nature can no longer persist,
In pain it shall cease to exist.

In despair I say these words to myself,
As a voice speaks out of my heart.
That a beginning shall be,
It proclaims like this to me:

"There shall be a dawn,
For every fading sun.
There shall be a rise,
For every sinking tide.

There shall be hope,
in the deepest of despair.
There shall be gain,
from the greatest of pain.

There shall be peace,
In the greatest of enmity.
That truth alone shall win,
Never shall any dirty sin.

There shall be love,
And brighter every day.
There shall be no fear,
Nor in any eye a tear.

There shall be an end,
To every sickening lust.
There shall be only love,
Pure and white as a dove.

That nature shall be greener,
Greener than it ever was.
Cleaner than it can ever be,
So shall be the sky and the mighty sea."

In disbelief I look at the world,
Hoping for this dream to come true.
So it shall be, If I, If you, If we can see,
That we are the creators of destiny.
