Every night in my dream I see,
A nightmare not known before to me.
A crying child for his father's death,
Sheds a tear in despair.
Not of water, in blood!
In pain and grief!!
Two lands, a war they wage.
In human history, a horrid page.
As a widow weeps in sorrow,
For her dead husband, A Soldier!
Not by nature, but in battle!
Not for truth, in innocence or ignorance!
Every pinch of snow I feel,
Many a secret it may conceal.
But to me the ice shows,
The death of many a human soul!
What a wonder, what a disaster!
When will love arise from this plunder!
Many times they have fought over.
Ready they are, again for another!
Oh my lord, in pain my heart bleeds,
For the land crushed in between.
I pray in the name of god, for peace,
For the long lost pearl - KASHMIR!!!
PS: One of my first poems, was written In Kenya... Maybe in 1998 or 1999
